Wear real estate agent in Washington probably is not as dramatic as in other western states like California, Nevada and Arizona. However, the loss of agents is no less worrisome to local, state and national realtor organizations based on membership dues income.

On the trail of a slump in home sales, the flock of Realtors in Washington is thinning due to the housing crisis. The president of the Realtors Association of Spokane members of the association estimates has been reduced by 13 percent in one year.

This decrease is on par with a statewide decline in the number of licensed agents in real estate. The year ended December 31, 2009 recorded a loss of 12 percent of the agents according to the Department of Licensing Washington State.
